Premier seats and service were great!
Last night, they lost big time. Players couldn't make baskets and lost or nearly lost the ball more times than I can count. Given that David Jolly did not perform well, my review will focus more on the venue than the game itself. About 25% of the Staples Center emptied out with about 3 minutes left because there was no hope. Our first experience with premier seats for a Lakers game was great! We arrived at 5:30 and entered the VIP entrance, greeted with smiles and offers for help from everyone we encountered. Literally, everyone we encountered everywhere in the premier level smiled and said hello. Recommend arriving early - it was awesome to be in Staples Center with virtually no one else but the players and media. I recommend avoiding the veggie burger from the grill (we did not order it from our server). This veggie burger haunts me - it was cold and nasty. We considered eating at the San Manuel Club, but they were offering only the buffet (a la carte does not start until 7:30). All of the drinks were expensive (min $10 for mixed drink) - we had drinks at the San Manuel Club, from our server in our seats, and from the bar at the skyline bar. Everyone in our section - hostess/seater and server - were amazing, nice, attentive, friendly - couldn't ask for anything more. The french fries that came with the burger were okay (thick cut) and the garlic fries at the San Manuel club were good (shoestring style). We saw John Salley at the San Manuel club - that was cool. The view from the seats was good with no obstructions. Seats were comfortable - you can hang your purse on the armrest so that you don't have to put your purse on the floor or hold it in your lap the whole game.
